Somerset Sight - Working with people who lack sight, not vision. Received The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. Volunteers needed in your local area, can you help? Past volunteers are pictured with those they have helped. We are looking for volunteers accross Somerset to work one-to-one with sight impared people. Our befriending servive volunteers visit regularly to provide companionship and support to people with sight impairment. We offer full trainging and support, and pay all reasonable out of pocket expenses, including mileage. Somerset Sight was founded in 1919 to support people with sight loss across the county. We are looking for volunteers to be individually matched with a sight impaired person in their local area.
